I got one for the first time last spring before going on a cruise. It was a little painful, but it only hurt for the few seconds while they are actually ripping the hair out, so it wasn't so bad. It also was much less awkward than I had expected. But it worked a ton better than shaving and lasted for weeks, so if you are thinking about it I say go for it! My skin is too sensitive for that, so the answer is ';no';. In addition, I wouldn't want to go back to childhood.
