Brazilian wax questions?
I gave myself a brazilian wax earlier today, but I鈥檓 pretty disappointed with the results to be honest. First of all, it still hurts, but I鈥檓 guessing that will probably be better by tomorrow. But it鈥檚 not all that smooth鈥︹€?like, it looks nice and hair free and all that, but when you actually touch it it鈥檚 not smooth. There are lots of little fine hairs that the wax hasn鈥檛 caught.
I don鈥檛 want to shave over it, because the whole point of waxing was so that it stayed hair free for longer, didn鈥檛 itch when it grew back, and to get rid of the irritation I get with waxing. Any ideas how I can get it smoother? And how long does it stay tender for? It feels as though the whole area is slightly bruised at the minute, not too sore, but a bit uncomfortable.
Also, since I鈥檝e done it I鈥檝e been really sensitive down there. Like if I move a certain way and the material of my knickers rubs against it I鈥檓 getting these sort of mini-orgasms!!! Will this go away once I get used to it?Brazilian wax questions?
It's probably a due to a problem with your technique, you just need to practice waxing your girly bits and things should do more smoothly (no pun intended, well perhaps slightly inteneded). I would go to a salon when the hair has grown back and pay close attention to what they do when they wax you - there might be something you are not doing.
Personally I have always shaved down there and although I need to do this every three days or so it takes only a couple of mins at most and I have only had any irritation with sh*tty economy razors.
The sensitivity will be heightened partially because you are thinking of that part of your body and partially because the hair will act as a barrier which when removed allows your vulva to touch things more closely - after a few days the senastion will reduce and things will be back to normal - take my advice and enjoy it while it lasts.

I would however suggest that you let if grow back a bit and then get it done professionally, you wont feel the same discomfort or feeling of bruising. I would apply a cool not freezing towel or even put an ST in the freezer for a while and put it in your knickers. It should relieve the bruising. For the missed bits I would say leave well alone.
In the morning shower/Bathe as usual but try holding a cold face cloth small towel over the tender bits.

next time you get waxed take in an asprin and a small bowl. crush the asprin in the bowl and mix in a few drops of cold water. when the strip is ripped off apply a cotton ball or pad dipped in the asprin mix. it will help reduce any redness or swelling and the cold feels so good on it.
I'm assuming its the first time you've had it done. The more times you do it, the less irritation you will get as the skin gets used to the hair being ripped out.

I usually take a couple of Advil an hour before my appointment. There's some gel that's supposed to numb the area but it never works for me. Make sure you don't go around the time of your period, it hurts worse then. No, it's not worth it. My bf barely noticed when I got it done the first time.
I prefer waxing to shaving. It lasts longer and it's alot less irritating as it grows back. And it grows back thinner when you wax! BONUS!!Brazilian Wax?

i am thinking about geting a brazilian wax for the first time. i have never gotten a wax before. so how do you find a good salon/ spa to get it at? does it hurt? how do you prepare for it?

You might want to trim your hairs if their long but they must be at leat 1\4 of an inch long so the wax can adhere to them...as for finding a good salon spa I suggest looking up some in your area that are highly reccomended and that might be on the pricey side you must make sure that the salon\ spa is clean and sanitory for example making sure there is a paper lining on the table or flatop you will be getting waxed on and that they change the paper lining in front of your eyes make sure the wax they are using is clean and is not to hot for it can seriously burn your private area another thing make sure their cosmetology or astetchian liscense is valid and in plain view for you to see, you must also make sure that they are wearing gloves and that the cloth and tools that they use are brand new...... as for the pain yes it does hurt but most salons offer a numbing cream that will lessen the pain for you and you might also want to take a pain killer such as advil or tylenol....another thing the more you wax the lesser the hair grows back fast and the less pain you will feel

Then they will put on the wax, the wax needs to be at a warm tempature as if it is boiling it will burn your delicate skin and will even leave a scar. Make sure you ask them if the wax is at the right tempature. They will then put on a cloth over the wax press down on it and then they will pull in the direction of growth.
It will hurt but only for a few moments. At the end you will have a clean smooth pubis. You may have to go back every three to four weeks to have it waxed again.
I have been advised to take two painkillers and a shot of tequila before hand, but I am also a wax virgin so I cant swear that works, but my friends highly recommend it.
I would go with hair removal cream, painfree and easy!

before'; tips and will usually give you to someone who can make it better (you do not want a ';fast'; woman who is just rushing you, you want someone who is more gentle and understanding)
Make sure you ';trim'; everything before you go. Do not have it super short, but just leave about 1/4 a inch or so. any longer and it may break the hair and you will have to do it twice.

well the whole point of waxing is to stop shaving after that, the hair will grow back slower, so what i do after i get a wax is that when little hairs start growing back i tweeze them. since only a few grow back after a few weeks its easier to tweeze. then a couple of weeks later i just get it done again...the more you do it the less hair is going to grow back and it'll also grow back slower. hope this helped!Waht do you do inbetween brazilian waxes???

I'm 16 and my homecoming is in a few days... My friends and I are renting hotel rooms. So, my boyfriend and I decided we are going to have sex. Some of my friends are getting brazilian wax's but I'm not sure if I should get one too. Some people say it doesn't hurt, but others say it hurts like hell. Haha. I have no idea what to do!! Help. Yesterday I went for my second Brazilian wax. The 1st one was hard to get true and then it was all over and done. no problems after. Yesterday I had my second one and comparing to the 1st one I felt no pain.

Not only because they have experience removing all the hair but also because they can ensure that the hair removal is even and they can limit the amount of discomfort with pulling at the right angle and holding skin in the proper places. And truthfully it's not that expensive to find a good waxer. The at home bikini wax kits aren't that bad, but when it comes to going to Brazil... you'd have to extra limber to have the same quality and result as you get in a reputable spa or salon. I don't know if I didn't get the wax hot enough or what (it felt pretty hot to me), but when I pulled the strips off, nothing happened. Not a single hair was removed. It was horrible. Then i was left with this wax mess, and I'll just tell you now, goo gone gets it off your body. Nothing else worked that i tried.
So if you buy the kit, and i wouldn't, take my advice and also pick up a bottle of goo gone. This is something worth paying for.
trust me get it done professionally. i tired waxing my biknin line and it was hideous!!! and i have a hig tolerance for pain. it hurt so much. and didnt do a great job...there was a lot of wax stuck on my skin and took forever to get off. spend some money and get it done professionally......lol

If u do it urself at home, make sure u buy the right kind of wax and as a tip before u wax that spot brush some baby powder on it first, then put wax on...then the wax paper, so when u pull it off, the wax will just pull out ur hairs and not ur skin too, so there's still pain, but not as bad (more like a sting).

There is a reason why the good waxers charge what they do - it is an acquired skill and I only recommend going to a real beauty spa or salon, do not do it at your random neighborhood beauty shop unless you know for a fact she is licensed and experienced. That goes for any beauty treatments. It is too easy to get it done wrong and end up with more ingrown hairs than necessary, not to mention infections if you go to one that is not hygenic. you always want to check the hygiene leverl, the licenses and the experienc levels. An experienced waxer will be able to do it as painlessly as possible. It stings for a second but is bearable.

first of all I definitly understand the need to have a cocktail before hand, but think about the fact that alcohol thins your blood so be careful not to drink much if at all if you can avoid it, second tylenol aint gonna do much for the pain, ibuprofen will help more, its an anti-inflammatory so it will help with the skin being pissed off! after the wax (take 2 advil or motrin 2 hours before your visit then take 2 more 2 hours after your visit then 2 every 4-6 hours after that) check the label on cortaid before you go putting it on your private area, might not be the best idea, however olive oil wouldnt hurt it, (dont get it inside of you just on the waxed area)but I would stick with aloe or olive oil or the stuff they sell for waxing (bikini zone I think its called, its an after wax application that helps with bumps and itching), you may wanna take a benedryl to help with the itching (and it might make you sleepy enough to conk out and forget about the pain for a bit.) good luck

This is embarassing. I started to give myself a brazilian wax and quickly found out that although my pain tolerence is high, it's not that high. Use it about 30 minutes before you go in for your wax and it will numb the area. Waxing is nice because over time the repeated pulling of the hair will damage the follicle resulting is less hair growth. It can be painful but bottom line is it will be over in 30 minutes and you will experience worse pain in your life than waxing! Just be sure to go in regularly, every 4-5 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows. You don't want the hair to be longer than 1/2 an inch otherwise it will hurt a lot! Where as wax can last up to 6 weeks! It is painful but it only last a second or to and is well worth it. Also the skin is alto smoother afterwords. The creams work okay, but the waxing hurts like hell and if it isn't heated just right it can burn your delicate area too.

creams work but they don't remove all of the hair,and i don't mind them as affective. Plus it doesn't last that long!
Where as wax can last up to 6 weeks! It is painful but it only last a second or to and is well worth it. Also the skin is alto smoother afterwords. I am going on vacation with my friends and i want to get a brazilian wax before i go but I'm not sure when i should get it. Should i get it done the day before i leave or a couple days before? I want to get a brazilian wax but what does it exactly consist of? Do they do the whole part? Like every hair that is down there? or just above your private area? Mine takes it all off...you can request to have a landing strip left behind if you choose...and yeah - she'll pretty much see everything your gyno does. It has the potential to really hurt. It's wise to take an ibuprofen about an hour before hand and try to relax.
For a brazilian they take it all off. You can request them to leave a strip or a shape if you want. Im pretty sure you wear these cotton thong like things, but im sure each place is different. And its not going to feel good since down there is sensitive.

Then you open up your legs like your having a baby, but roll a little bit more onto your shoulders so the waxer can wax the hair next to the lips. After that you go in doggie position, the waxer spreads your butt apart, and waxes your hair on your butt. All stray hairs are plucked and you're done!

1. exfoliate with a loofa or something the day before (and the day after, and then every other day). this removes the dead skin cells to help prevent ingrown hairs
2. DO NOT shave, they will turn you away (or if they arent very good they will try anyway and just take your skin off).
3. make sure eveything is sanitary! if you see them put the same stick into the wax twice after using it on you (double dipping!) leave. it sounds silly, but you can contract infections and diseases this way. and its against the law to double dip! (think about it...do you want other people's pubic hair on your private area!?!?!? i think NOT!)
4. it does hurt, but the more you do it, the less hair grows back and the less it hurts.

It will hurt, but the pain goes away as their is pressure applied to the area that the hair has been ripped out.
I always made sure I was clean before I went, can think of nothing worse. A good idea if you can;t have a shower right before you go is to carry some hygene/toilet wipes in your bag and use them before you go in.
Don't shave, the hair should be a decent length before you go, if the hair is too short they will not wax you and it also hurts more I have found the shorter the hair.
Exfoliating is a good idea and make sure you get yourself a good quality loofa.
I had massive drama's with ingrown hairs no matter how much I exfoliated. I ended up buying a product from Manicare for the prevention of ingrown hairs. I found this fantastic and was great when I used it straight after my wax. It stopped the folical from becoming red and possiblly infected.
My hair was thick and black and never really got any finer from waxing. I now get laser hair removal and although it hurts like nothing I have felt before the results are fantastic.
I had it done and it does hurt but when you put on your bikini you will know it was well worth it

I've never had one, and don't plan on having one soon. I'd be scared if I were you too! Just imagine some1 waxing your private region-- OWW comes to mind! Take some pain killer before you go. And do you HAVE TO get a FULL brazilian wax? If you are doing this for a bikini, then just get the outside waxed.

Hurts some but very worth it. Take pain releiver before you go- it helps. Avoid coffee and all caffeine day of. Some people actually use anbesol- gum pain reliever in a gel before they go,that helps too. Make sure you are not close to the time of your cycle pain is worse then too. Be brave and enjoy the results- you'll be hooked.

Hurts some but very worth it. Take pain releiver before you go- it helps. Avoid coffee and all caffeine day of. Some people actually use anbesol- gum pain reliever in a gel before they go,that helps too. Make sure you are not close to the time of your cycle pain is worse then too. Be brave and enjoy the results- you'll be hooked.

A bikini wax (depending how much you want taken off) will cost anywhere between $10 and $20. Make sure you go somewhere reputable, because with this sort of waxing, things can go wrong. I know of people who have either had skin torn off, or burnt off by people who wern't experienced enough! Talk to your friends to see if they've been somewhere good!

Next Saturday i'm getting my first brazilian wax! I'm definitely a little nervous. I'm going to the Bahamas the following week, and wanted to give it a try. I shave everything down there already and thought it would be nice not having to worry about it while i'm gone. And..I've heard they wax your ';behind'; area, is this true? Approximately how long until the hair starts growing back in? I know it's going to hurt, I just kind of want an idea of what to expect when I walk in and while i'm in the waxing area.Tips on Brazilian wax?

A Brazilian is when they leave a little strip of hair (landing strip) at the front they do not leave you completely bare that's a Hollywood. I have only ever had a Brazilian and it isn't that bad.

Don't use fancy-pants soaps for one. The oil residue left over seeps in to the ';freshly revealed'; skin and pores..and you don't want to irritate it. That is more of an aftermath though.

The only things that would numb the skin completely would involve a (probably even more) painful injection. Topical numbing creams don't do anything, since the hair is rooted. Tough luck, kiddo.

My skin was torn during a brazilian bikini wax...what now?
I just had a brazilian wax done, and the girl doing it somehow ripped the skin on my inside of my labia. It's like a little fissure/crack about an inch long and was bleeding.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Should I be worried about infection?
She put some Neosporin on it and told me to keep an eye on it...and she didn't charge for the wax (the only bright spot in this debacle.)
The place seemed pretty clean, but they do use the same wax for everyone...they use a metal spatula instead of wooden sticks to apply the wax, and they use the same spatula on multiple people. Apparently, it gets dipped in some kind of antiseptic / disinfectant between clients and heat sterilized occasionally. Ick. Never heard of ';split skin,'; as she called it, and I won't be going back to her again!My skin was torn during a brazilian bikini wax...what now?
You'll likely be ok. Since the wound is in a moist area, it may take a little longer to heal than something else like a cut on your arm. I've never heard of people getting serious infections from a bikini wax place before so you should have nothing to worry about. Keep a close eye on it, take extra care cleaning it, and neosporin won't hurt it either. If you do that it shouldn't get infected.

I would worry about infection...I would shower twice a day and wear cotton underwear because they breathe well. If you live home alone, walk around naked, you labia will get more air that way and it will be better for the wound. I would also try getting those wet wipes for after you use the restroom. The key is to keep the area really clean.

It is far less painful than waxing, because it removes hair in the direction of it's growth and it doesn't rip off skin like wax sometimes does. Make sure that they are certified by Alexandria and that they aren't using strips or sticks to remove the sugar.
The reuse of the spatula is disgusting and probably illegal!

omg, this happened to my friend abtar, he was getting a bikini wax[oh by the way hes gay] and it tore his balls, he bled so bad. he had to get skin removed from his butt to put on as a patch.
This happened to me but it was sugaring instead of waxing and I did it to myself--it was my first time. The area bleeds alot because there is a lot of blood vessels but the good news is it heals quickly. Whenever you go to the bathroom just rinse it off with warm water from a squeeze bottle. There really isn't any need for the neosporin if you don't want to use it. Many women who have episiotomies when giving birth just use the warm water and as a nurse I haven't seen many infections from it. As long as they change the spatula after every use and don't keep dipping it into the wax even while using it on the same person I guess that would be ok. However if you noticed that she kept dipping that same spatula into the wax time after time when she was using it on you they should be reported. God only knows what could be getting into that wax from other people--I don't care how much they heat it up. If your injured area gets red and start draining a pus like fluid see your dr.
